They are cracking pick ups seen loads in oz, how much is it going for? my hilux has been brilliant it never misses a beat. i was going to go down the 130/110 tipper route next year so i could do away with my tipper and 4x4 but had a drive in a newish 110 today… jeesus the driving position is horrible the steering feels off centre. so a land cruiser pick up may be better option.

Does anyone know if they have gvw of 3.5 ton?

Not sure if Toyotas have 3.5gvw but i know id never try and tow that much, not in a Landy anyway...

Landys are more than capable of towing 3.5ton I have come to the conclusion towing my 2.8ton digger around, but I keep it under 35 mph and don't force anything. I'm not saying it does it easily but its perfectly capable of it. I really want to use a landcruiser for a week just to see how much better it really is. Comfort doesn't come into it for me, really doesn't fuss me at all where the driving position is or whether it has leather seats and good heating.

The Landcruiser 70 specs are:

Single cab trayback

kerb weight kg 2065

GVW kg 3300

Gross trailer weight braked kg 3500

Gross trailer weight unbraked kg 750

Engine 4.4 V8 32 valve dohc no belts gear & chain driven diesel.

Fuel consumption combined (L/100km) 11.5

It has a massive 430 nm of torque @ 3400rpm.

The engine specs are why they are not produced in the UK & we have the hilux instead.
