Biomass Chipper to suit 150-200hp Tractor?

Recommended Posts

Try looking at a farmi chipper if your just starting out with biomass chipping as much cheaper than most other brands, although it will not have a screen in it they do have slither brakes so tend not to suffer from oversized bits.

I wouldn't discount heizohacks, there are many reasons for poor chip quality, and the same reasons will apply to any chipper.

The chip quality is directly related to the quality of wood being chipped. Species, moisture content and size of timber will affect it.

Blade sharpness and set up will affect it. The sieve determines the size of chip, which most other makes don't have, certainly in the hp range you are looking at.

Heizohacks are good chippers IMO and the lack of secondhand machines must mean something!

Trouble is the account above about dust and slivers is the exact same as a.n.other heizohack near here has troubles with. That makes it too high a risk to take. Plenty of others to consider.
