An experienced groundy proficient with rigging different loads, chainsaw use and an overall good aptitude are an invaluble asset for arb companies. Maybee you havnt done much groundie work ? who cares-I wholeheartedly disagree with your comment. Can you define a "mickey mouse outfit" as I, as well as others are all ears mate ?. Lots of groundies dont have a CS45 but their experience is essencial. To belittle the groundie is -well-tactless my friend. Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.

 

i think what he was getting at was a mickey mouse outfit would pay you £50 as they would see you as just a pair of hands but around his area a groundy would get 80 to 100. i dont think he was intending to belittle anyone:thumbup1:

Everyone has their place. And it all depends on the business and the type of work / size of jobs. Thus a wide range of pay scale.... not to mension the areas in which you work / market dicktating how much you get for the work.

thats how i read it too.

i think there should be a clear definition between brash dragger and groundy as their roles can be quiet different.
