Why's the preference for that type wrap in the states wyk? Yet the Canadians have the full wrap?

While that particular wrap is a "USA" wrap, it is based off of the Stihl 3/4 wraps. Another company actually makes full wraps. Lemme see if I can find a pic...

Please hold...

I forget the name of the company that makes those, though.

If you look behind the beech, past the round I cut off so we could shut the gate, you'll see I cut about 6" of a buttress off. That was solely so I could fit the wrap while putting the face into the tree with the dogs into the wood. So, it can be a bit of a pain at times. But the majority of the time falling, it allows you to use both sides of the tree more easily. And I also feel it allows you to make your cuts more straight on the off side as well since you can easily hold the saw in front of you.

Almost forgot to drop these in here:

Mastermind ported Stihl 044, PNW set up w/ HO oiler, HO clutch cover, and wrap handle.

I know (or I think I know :blushing:) that PNW stands for Pacific North West, but what does HO stand for?

Do you do much of the way of processing with these saws or just use them purely for felling? I could see a 3/4 wrap handle coming in very handy when felling, but then, I normally want to turn the saw to doing a bit of processing too - although not too much with the likes of a 395. Just wondering what the trade off is like?
