Just as an aside, Cameron has been getting a lot of grief about the somerset levels floods & rivers not getting dredged.

Did you know the Parrett and Tone rivers have not been dredged in 20 years.

Who was in power for the vast majority of that time? hmm.....

The Parrett is running at 60% efficiency, how much of the 40% loss of efficiency would be attributable to the last 2 to 3 years that Cameron has been in power.

labour came into power in 1997, the rivers were never dredged under their government. hmm again...:001_smile:

That's what amazes me about the general public, they criticize the the solution to the problem instead of criticizing the cause.

The present government get all the grief for putting measures in place to put us back on track, the thicko,s then blame them for their current hardship and vote the cause of the problem back in to start the cycle all over again.

:001_rolleyes:

good on these lads for mucking in!...they didn't have to do it, they did it because they wanted to. You have to remember they are both Officers in the RAF and Army...that sets them apart from your average Toff right away. With regard to politics and the flooding....I think its reflective on the general state of the UK...Labour and the Conservative party are both responsible for the mess we find ourselves in...if they spent more time leading...and less time undoing what each other have done during the previous term, we would still be a Great country, career politicians - I hate 'em!
