I have left chainsaw marks here and there as that's my style (rough as a badgers @rse).

 

I have no idea what wood it is but it seems very waxy and lovely to work with. I think the grain is going to look real nice once my Cuprinol Decking Oil arrives.

 

May have to keep this one and have it indoors so looking out for another piece of suitable tree so I can make one to sell.

I had a nibble with a chisel on his head, I thought he looked a bit cute and needed to be a bit narlier.

I'm finding it very hard to get a true representation picture using my camera phone :blushing:
