Cs32??

Hello I'm new to the forum.

 

I'm currently undergoing the CS30/31 (CLMC 44x) training course and assesment.

 

After completing this course I've been recommended to do the CS38/39 (CLMC 48x)

 

I've looked on thee training website and there's no sign of the CS32 course.

 

Is it a problem to do the 38/39 without doing the CS32?

No you can do 38/39 (aerial rescue and saw in tree) without 32(big tree) but have to have done 30 and 31- I fink!

You can do 38 with no previous qualifications.

 

32 is large felling.

it seems quite odd not to do the CS32 as most trees felled are over 380mm.

Some training firms may not have any sites that they can use to fell large trees as practice, is probably the most common reason. Ask them if not google will help

I did my 32 about 5 years ago and found it difficult to get a course. If I remember rightly there were only two of us on it.

 

I think the reality is a lot of guys only bother with 30/31 and 38/39 so they dominate the courses. Limited interest other courses, limited providers and limited assessors. Try looking for a cs33....

as far as i know cs32 is changed name..

32 & 33, 34 is windblown, the prior 2 are for big trees, and really big trees, 34 & 35 have been combined I think, but don't quote me on that
