You get out what you put in - and as others have said whilst you may not always agree, the opinions of others in the same or parallel industries are always worthwhile. It's like having 10,000 mates down the pub only it's never your round :thumbup1:

Everyone learns everyday in this walk of life and this is a valuable resource.

The whinge was unnecessary though :confused1:

I would like to contribute more. I look everyday to see if there is anything I can help with. Not a lot usually.

I did once tell someone what to use to remove tree sap from cars. That's about it really.

Oh, and if you need a really long bolt to fasten a gate, you can use a garage door drop bolt and fit it horizontally.

Usually people are asking about Mogs, mini diggers, chainsaws and chippers. As I don't have any mechanicleness in me I just look at the pictures.

I do sound very knowledgeable now when someone asks what species a tree is ...

Hornbeam, obviously, so for that I thank you.

I really like seeing what you have all been doing too and the good humoured banter puts a smile on me face.

All in all Arbtalk is a really nice place.

It's sad when there is a bit of a squabble and someone feels they have to leave. I hope they can join in again one day.

Take care all.

Rich

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
