Which (compact?) tractor, to do everything on a smallholding?

I want an international for loader work,

I use those tractors all the time, the 35 is brown with mud at the moment.

Some people park them up, and thats it, not these.

What international would you get?

454 or 574 are cheap and handy sized. Shuttle gearbox, power loader, power steering and power brakes. Ideal loader tractor, will lift about 800kg max I'd say.

If the above had a power loader it would have been a solid buy at about 1.5-1.8k. Funny, but that's the first one I've ever seen with a trip loader.

This is my old girl next to a mates David Brown. Really is the best value, cheapest loader tractor around for a small firewood business or similar.

I had a international 684 it had a hole between the block and liner the size of your little finger. I filled it up with gasket sealant and it run the processor for the last 5 years. The tractor was rank and badly looked after by us but it never missed a beat.

Oh wait, I think I get it. Hydraulics lift the arms, but the bucket doesn't have hydraulics - when you trip it, it empties everything and won't reset till you put it back on the ground. Yes?!
