For £20K you being an oldie and presumably having a pre 97 licence you could get a 6 toner and a real chipper! Would need an O licence, but worth it IMO.

Hi and thanks for all the input so far people, look forward to further thoughts from you all.

What is an O license? I have a hgv license

What sort of work do you do Marc, commercial/domestic? What size arisings are you having to deal with? You want to get a chipper to suit your needs. If you are topping loads of thorn hedge or carrying out big dismantles etc, then you want a good size chipper. If a lot of your work is little jobs in Mrs Jones back garden with the odd big job, then a 6" chipper is going to be more than adequate.

I have been working on taylor/wimpy sites and on contracts but most of the work I have been doing is dismantles on reasonable size trees in domestic settings the chipper I am leaning towards is a duel axle Greenmech CM220MT55 with turntable and 9" rollers has anyone used one and what are there thoughts on this machine

Marc we have Two Bandit 12" chippers left from Eight, they are good value at £12K being fully reconditioned, well under half price of a new one. We also have a couple of 9" machines due in shortly.

Dean are they as slow amd as messy as the 75?
