I'm actually more amazed you can get a bar that short for a small mount husky

That said, the PNW and Uk seem at polar opposites in terms of bar length vs power.

And how are we going to quantify that Eddie, you have no dyno, I have no dyno, I can compare to my ported 357XP but thats about it as everything else I have has a different engine size and it won't show you if it is faster.

 

The saw has a 3/8 7T on it and I have one B&C that will work with it, not sure if that even compares with what you are running.

 

This saws cylinder had a fair bit of damage and an aftermarket piston that isn't run in yet......it all makes a difference as you know!

 

Not sure what else Matt is running up in Kielder Forest......probably a 6R4 knowing him!

 

So.......how are you going to judge how they compare with each other???

It is silly on that saw unless yer just using it in a tree. But, what I meant was, I didn't know sugi hara made a lightweight bar in that size. I mean, it's 13"

The sound you've taken more out of the internals of the transfers, muffler baffle and possibly the exhaust port (they're different shaped). It'll be where the limiter kicks in (or stops kicking in).

I know, the weight saving on that bar would be negligible, but it's pretty. I wouldn't use it in a tree as my topper does the job fine. Snedding, logging and felling small stuff is what I have in mind

They are sexy. I have a bias for Japanese saws and bars. BTW, Sugi is a type of Japanese cypress. Hara means the 'spirit' or 'essence' of. So that's sorta cool. Yeah, my mother was Japanese. If you look on the bar you'll see a stylised cypress.

 

Do a muffler mod right, and that thing will pull 16" 3/8 no problem.

Not heard the joke, doesn't the oil go in the front tank and the petrol in the back one ?
