I would run it standard mate until it's out of warranty then send it off to spud, I found them strong saws out the box.

I only got mine modded after I got chatting on the petrol pumps and forgot to add mix to the fuel so it needed a rebuild and thought why not mod it for a laugh but as standard out the box saws go the 395 is fine I would not touch it and give it straight to spud if you want more power but they are torquey beasts and modding done wrong will upset that.

You may use any performance enhancing part (such as aus muffler) as long as the part is a genuine, approved part and fitted by a dealer, so jungle mufflers and magnum mufflers are covered under warranty

Where do you get these from mate?

Husky term for a magnum muffler, because there's no emissions or noise laws in the jungle. They have no baffles, extra wide gas ports, and in some cases, more holes for the gas to get out

I had a jungle muffler for a 3120 and it kept burning off the chain brake lever ... Guess they don't use chain brakes in the rain forest!

They have the 1106 and 1111 series Stihl saws in the jungle too, the 070/090 have never had a chainbrake

503 71 13-05 is the jungle muffler for a 395

Thank where do you get that part number from? Local dealers? Is it best to let the saw bed in first?
