Spud(steve), Just wondering how my 395xp porting is coming along ? Any pics ? Cannot wait to try it out!!! Cheers , Med.

It is all done, I didn't find anything wrong with the saw. I re-read the thread where you were saying you weren't impressed with the power of the saw and checked everything and the whole machine is in very good condition, 100% OEM, fuel line and system 100%, great compression, gave up at 150 as it was a bitch to pull over and would suspect it is close to 190 now!

Pic as below, a 20mm stainless pipe straight in to the mufflers first box!

Just needs a run up and tach but sounds good:thumbup:

Big thank you to Spud (Steve) for porting my 372 xp, landed bk with me today, if it goes half as good as it sounds I'll be happy ( not had chance to try it in any timber yet) ps thanks for the sweets.

It was an Xtorq so not like yours Andy. I was watching the vid I did when I did yours and I deducted that: -

1) I should have chocked up the log:blushing:

2) It is holding bloody high revs in the cut

3) It is a bit rapid on a 20"

That looks lush, do you weld it in or braze? If you braze, which rods do you use?

I use the gaffa's 390 that has been ported by spud... we run it on a 24" bar and it just rips through the timber!!

Awesome saw.... get it done, you'll love it!

I've only had the saw a month so I'm trying my hardest not to get it done at the moment. I am aware though that when I get the saw done in a years time, I'll be wishing I'd got it done a year ago 😀
