That was one of the luckiest escapes I have seen ... What a tool!!!

But surprisingly light on his feet. Like a lil fat dancer on the snow.

Hi all, a bit boring compared to the big guns and not as novel as the tiny ones with attitude: Any suggestions to improve performance from my 6 ish year old ms290 farm boss? For its weight it's fairly gutless! Oh, I dont have a dremmel

Their design doesn't lend themselves to easy porting but tryto open up the muffler and retune the carb if necessary - that would be he easiest mod.

I believe yo can fit the 390 top end on the saw but it is a job to remove the cylinder as it is a clam type engine!

Wonder if he knows what a chainbrake is for and that he may like to use it when walking on a slippery uneven surface - his felling technique (if you can call it that) needs some work:001_rolleyes:

I wonder if he has any clue on how lucky he is to be alive:confused1:

He's lucky he isn't THIS guy:

OK, enough derailing from me then. But I LOVE that video. Let's climb a tree, sit in a crotch, and saw on a limb that's tethered to the tree just so. Sure.

Hiya Spud, hope you're well?

I got given a 024av wood boss by an old chap the other day and I was wondering what sized hole should be added to the exhaust to liven it up a little?

There are many takes on this but the general consensus is that you open it up 70% of the area of the inside opening of the exhaust port.

TBH, it isn't THAT critical and IMO, much depends on how loud you want it.

I have two steel tube diameters - the smaller is used on sub 60cc saws, the larger on 60cc+ simple:thumbup:
