We've got a Carleton 2010 with sandvik wheel and teeth which is brutal,hp wise you need at least 27 and this size machine will load easily up a set of lightweight ramps on to your truck, the larger wheels help with traction and stability when grinding.:thumbup1:

Hi Horatio there are not many places that hire stumpgrinders in suffolk/norfolk area and the cost of getting to a decent one in fuel and time means we wouldn't break even on the day unless we charge a high rate which will mean we won't get the work.

Have you spoken to Chippertech Ian? Or sub out your grinding work. Make money for no cost

Hi Ian have dealt with chippertech a lot in past. Pretty sure 99.9% the small Rayco can be hired without operator. I always got it for a very low cost. Sure if asked their best price they would be the cheapest about.

The huge tracked vermeer on the other hand can not be hired without operator, unless they know and trust you.

For what the Rayco is it not a bad machine. Two guys can lift in on the back of an arb truck.

Good luck finding one though.
