I have a quick question hoing to answer a debate im having with the mother in law.

I dont have the facilities to take payment via credit card.

In the last 7 odd years i have had 2 requests for payment to be made by credit card.

The mother in law thinks if i have this option advertised on the website etc i would get more work/enquires?

Any advice/ experiences please.

Cheers

Does your mother in law hold a qualification in marketing or business or recently held a survey or read a survey on the subject to give her reason to advise you on it:confused1:

If she has, call up your web designer and crack on.

Taking credit cards cost you money and dated imo, now digital banking, that's easy peasy:thumbup1:

One of the best things we have done, wouldn't be without our card machine now, as an example all todays work was paid for on cards, and as I said on another thread we find for jobs some people use it as a sort of short term finance, having jobs done when they wouldn't normally because they don't have the money.

Now I have no experience with anything other than the traditional 'invoice' when the job is finished. As a fellow who is quite relaxed about payments and who only works for people whom I know, this works fine.

If I was young and keen or had a high turn-over of small quantities I'd certainly look very closely at the card payment system.

I have a friend who is a hay merchant and folk buy hay from lorry loads to one or two bales from him. He loves the system, money is in the bank by 15.30 hrs every day. Sorted! That to me sounds like a win win situation....
