Thanks folks, some interesting reading to be done.

The elbow has improved greatly so far:001_smile: Done a bit of work but not picked up a saw yet. the compression elastic sleeve has made a big difference. I'm rubbing in anti inflammatory gel even though there's no swelling but the ganglion has sunk back and is no way near as sore to prod:laugh1:

 

You've put me off the cortisone route, so exercise and painful massage is my new pastime, as is pain killers and whiskey! :thumbup:

Had same problem last year for a number of weeks,doctor wasn't keen to do cortisone, compression sleeves were good.

Not had much bother with it last few months, it was quite uncomfortable at the time though.

Old age doesn't come alone, as they say!
