I need a chipper for 1hr in Chippenham...

Hi all,

I live and work in West Cornwall (self employed climber). A good friend of mine has brought a house in Chippenham, which has a large Oak in the back garden (no restrictions e.g. TPO). He wants me to do a raise on it.

So, if anyone is willing to help out/give me a price for use of a chipper and disposal of probably two wheel barrows of chip for an hour, then please get in touch. There might be some timber in it, and definitely tea (cup of)!

P.S. I've got a chipper ticket (for what it's worth) so I can do the hard work.

Thanks in advance! :)

Now then Bern'ard, have you done the Cornish to English time zone / language adjustment?

Cornish - give me a hand for an hour actually translates to a morning / afternoon (if it's doing a mate a favour), similarly, give me a hand for a morning actually equates to a full day, and give me a hand for a day could mean anything from 1 day to 3+ years!

Conversely, if it's on an hourly paid rate, the hours on the worker's watch only seem to work in 30 minute intervals on the watch of the person with the wallet and it's always rounded DOWN to the lowest figure!
