A couple of my ex girlfriends have done it. No idea what the connection there is.

I did it last year in a Mk1 Escort. J O'Groats is an awfully long way!

I'm going to guess you choose the west coast route. Free camping here if you need it (Chester ish)

I did it back in 2000 for cancer charity, we went from lands end to john o groats, the charity we done it for sorted out accomidation for us in different fire stations along the route, most of the bigger ones were happy to feed us as well, and up in Scotland in the smaller stations they put camp beds and caravans for us to sleep in, didn't cost us anything for digs but we had to buy food some nights, the route they planned for us was a bit of a scenic one so took a bit longer than normal, there is a more direct route but it uses some very busy roads and dual carriageways, (fergot to say we were cycling)

Don't know yet john two of the people involved are doing the north run another doing 14 marathons calling it fourteen in fourteen for Freddie quite catchy and then we got a ball and are annual festival in June so we have to fit it in around this.
