MS390 has started to play up.Starts ok after about 6 pulls which is usual But then as soon as I try to give it revs it just dies, changed the fuel filter as I thought it was fuel starvation but it made no difference, just the same with or without the chain and bar on

Gradually got worse over the last few weeks

any help gratefully received

My 390 is doing exactly the same and the fuel is fresh.. I'm going to take it into the local stihl gaff to get it sorted.. I'll let you know what there saying, hoping to get there tomorrow.

Sounds like the carb is blocked causing lean running. When you have it fixed the use of Aspen would stop this happening again so you can keep using the saw.

Kind regards

Eddie
