New 550xp, Aspen, 10" logs, now what?

Got a new 550xp auto tune, 15" bar, and I will be using aspen.

The saw came with a bit of fuel in the tank.

I'm interested in hearing any views on setting the auto tune on the first start.

I have read a few threads on here re this saw and it seems getting the auto tune set up is pretty important. So just want to get this right.

Thanks for any views.

Cheers.

Yeah .... it's important but not complicated.

As already advised above. :thumbup1:

This im not so sure about. I have a 560xp its my second (due to the first one getting nicked) The first i had access to a great big log and set the AT as per many have said here. the second one i did not have a big log handy and got got on with my work using it on what i had to hand (small dia stuff 3" or 4")

After the break in time of about 5 or so tanks fills i cant tell the difference. the second 560xp cuts just a well as the first (that is to say VERY well)

When you think about it the AT is constantly adjusting for all sorts of variables, Air density, temp, fuel type etc..... so to 'set' it is only any good if the conditions are the same. i like to think the AT sets its self as and when it needs to, that way i can get on with my work instead of searching for a big log to cut.
