Some kind of beetle crawled out of the foraged woodland goodies I've collected this morning. Wondered what kind of beetle it was. He's about 4mm long with crazy antennae bits.

 

Hopefully there are some budding entomologists watching.

Looks a bit like a Asian long horn beetle to me :ohmy:

Ill have a look at my books in a minute.

 

My first thought, but I thought they had more pronounced markings and were bigger.(10mm). Don't know if that includes the horns though.

Don't think its asian, the markings on it's back seem different?

I though the ALB had more of a speckled sort of look, this one is banded.

 

I agree, cant seem to find any other banded ones? ....yet
