Just had this call out monster Lime tree uprooted, just cleared the drive way and said we'd be back friday to take her down, as its over top of electric lines so will need the power company on site before we tackle it. My plan of action tractor with 6.5 ton winch, Rope around trunk and pull the hole tree back from the lines.

Update on my call out from the customer who phoned me earlier, the electric board come as I told him to ring them and arrange for them to come out and take a look at it, Then be on site on the friday when we take the tree down. They came and deemed it too dangerous and needed sorting asap so had there contractor's out apparently 8 of them and they weren't getting on too well (customers words) shame as I stuck £1,500 on it. But at least the customer saved. They even said they would clean up and remove all arisings! !!

Personally I won't work as it's a time to be with family and to switch off , however if someone desperately needed my help in an emergency ie: road traffic accident involving a tree which needed to be removed to save someone's life then yes

Bit O.T.T example but you get the idea

Anyways stay safe everyone and most importantly have a very Merry Christmas :)

Dan

I'd only do it if it was semi-urgent and just enough go clear the most essential whatever it might be.

Would only do it for a few hours, and price would be either regular rate ... or possibly even free except maybe expenses as a Christmas gift ..

The latter being based on it being an urgent need on the holiday. So why not for a change of pace and a good day to give.

I did a call out yesterday afternoon, to a regular client, & general nice person, charged them for my groundy, & left it at that.

Things are not great for me this christmas, & a good turn sticks two fingers up at adversity.:001_smile:
