Thanks for your help everyone. I've tried Velcro ones. I even always get one of the lads to tighten them but they seem to wide to tighten any more. So when I'm climbing the spikes end up at the back of my foot. Yeah I thought that once you heat metal up again it weakens. I will have a look at all the ones you've suggested. I'll pop into the shop and have a look pity ye can't have a pole in the shop to try out spikes baz ha.

Once again thanks for all you're help and merry Christmas :)

I'd find a good metal worker to make you some aluminium ones.

That way the bit that goes under the arch of your foot will be the perfect length and the ankle strap will hold it in just the right place.

It will cost you a bit more but they should last your climbing career and you only need to change the uppers and straps.

What spikes have you tried? What boots have you got?

I work with 3 very slight/small built/small feet climbers who get on best with carbon geckos.

If its the feet straps that are loose, try strapping you're boot only rather than going round the shaft, if the calf try type c trousers I you don't already to pad you're leg out a biy

I've got haix pro protectors and they have a loop at the back that it goes through but still doesn't help. I wear type c it's the width of my feet which is the problem, I'm not sure which ones I've used used Afew, including the Velcro straps ones, which I think are a lot comfy but again it's the actually width of the spike I put boot in.
