It can be clearly seen that tho the windows are indeed glass, they are opaque, meaning they are in fact non-see-through. This was a fundamental flaw in the design and was altered on later models. Hence this particular rare find languishing in a dingy corner of a field. On a plus side, its rarity contributes to astoundingly high prices when up for auction. A good opportunity to buy a piece of Britains history, before we slid downhill thru the 70's. Thanks Anna for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks Andy for the info. I newer realized that they were british. I remember seeing them when I was a kid. Are they really that rare? I seem to recall a guy down the road that had one only a few years ago. Cant remember wether windows were opague or double reflective or just the more common, as seen on later models, yellowish-brown. I might have to pop down for a chat and see whatever happened to his.

This item was never developed to run on tracks, unlike many other. I have heard of inventive types trying to make it run over any terrain, but they bogged down in meadows and pastures, waiting for people to recover them, hence why Anna has one in her meadow.
