Is this of any use to anyone?

I have spent the last couple of weeks reaching this and I suspect with the backing of a few antique experts, David Dickinson in particular that it is indeed a fake and not an original as first thought :scared1:

David confirms that there is too much curve to the left front lower rear upper panel, a subtle but all too common mistake which is easily overlooked.

i noticed that straight away and i am a novice in the field, it was very obvious. but fake or not the magnitude of the work and engineering is priceless

That is truly a shame, i have just booked a first class ticket up there to see it. They are so rare nowadays, even having been on the endangered list for such a long time, that i had to see it before it went. Guess ill have to get a refund.

BTW steve- were there any salvageable parts from what you could see?

Just been speaking to Dao on flash chat and he is going to nip down later on tonight and have a proper look.

He recons there are certain traits that only show in moonlight on the first of the month.

Should have a better idea tomorrow with any luck!

i think there is a by law that lets you drive that on the opposite side of the road in reverse, its a pitty the tyres are missing. and they didnt galvinise the shafts. but the fuses look ok, but the picture is poor. hard to tell without pollaroid glasses, the reflection makes it hard to make out. and i think the side screens are tinted
