Could never go back to single cab Transit after buying a double cab.

Reckon we save literally days not fannying about with gear, get to job, unload gear, chip into back, load gear, drive to tip, unload gear, tip, load gear, drive home, unload gear. No thanks!

 

True, but if you keep to your LEGAL rear axle weight, your full before morning brew.

 

With a single cab the front axle take some of the load allowing a much better pay load.

Dave, I've had some right whingers down here complaining about the weight of the chipper on their precious block paving!

 

Totally agree about the legal weight issue, but it's a lesser of two evils thing and the D/C definately wins on balance. It's only an issue on the bigger jobs.

 

The smaller the job the bigger the profit margin IME. Pity they are so bloody boring!

 

Reckon the ideal would be a set up like yours in tandem with a smaller set up for piddly domestics.

nice one mick, 3 way tipper. very handy. no more donuts around the yard to shed the chip. me and the boys are going to chip in and get you a captains hat anyway. i will get your lenses and bulbs ready for posting, you can pick me up from stanstead next capel for payment if you want and we will make a weekend of it.

Looks smart, looks better than a white one too

 

if it's the turbo one (i know there's not loads of them about) it should go well - ours is a 98 R reg XLWB Hi roof with the turbo (the manky yellow one sat on our stand at Capel) and fully loaded will still cruise at 70 all day long and is pretty good with the trailer on too.
