i am pretty out of touch with transits mick, it does look clean. why would bt have a tipper with caged sides??when i ever needed a tipper i would by one for a few grand, work it into the ground and sell it back to the garage come mot time and usually get about 1300 quid back. i would by an older one with all the bumps and scrapes it is going to get and fanny it up stickers. you will loose too much money imo on a newer one

mick ,get an iveco daily better for towing & carrying the weight us chaps chuck in the back

If only I could find one Woody, now springs here no one seems to be parting with their trucks...............I think it had one of those fibreglass backs on it SWB and the dealer had the new back put on. All the back and lifting gear is brand new.

my mate bought an iveco a few years ago, he has had nothing but bother with it.. i had an old one and it was great. loads of power. first gear was amazing, but ran into a lot of bother with the plateing. it had been imported as a 5 tonner and never redone to 3.5. i think the chasis are all the same on some models but plated differently when they come into the country. luckily the garage i bought it from sorted it all out:001_smile:

check out auto trader ,had my daily 9,yrs done 85,000 miles .my mate had trany with a 125 hp engine could pull like the clappers empty but loaded couldnt pull a chicken off its nest .you could always take it for a demo then go to your local builders merchent & borrow a ton of sand , put your chipper on the back & take it for a run out :sneaky2:

think it actually looks alright for a tranny, very clean slightly over priced, but then it is from a dealer-if you have a look at simmilar condition transits, theyre going for 5-7k no vat

doesnt matter what plate its on-71tho miles in 8 years-hardly a hard life

offer way less but if you could get it for 5k no vat, id go for it, times are tight-he might not have had a sale for a week or two

just get it sprayed/sign written, hate white transits!
