At the front of my store I've got a mixture of oak, larch and corsican pine. The pine is hands down the first choice. Puts down a much larger ember bed than the oak, gives off more heat and lasts longer. If only it weren't so stringy to split!

The pub was burning holly last night. When I walked in I assumed they had the radiators on as there wasn't any flames coming from the burner. **I stood corrected on closer inspection. Blasting the heat out, very little flames
