I am sure everyone on here has had an accident and realised their mistake afterwards. About 2 years ago I was using a jig saw with blunt blade put both hands on to apply more pressure. Put my left hand index finger between the body of the saw and the hex head bolt that jigs up and down. Unfortunately they are low geared and the gap is only 2-3mm the bolt went through my nail and smashed the end of my finger to bits. Had to sit down for a bit while the cold sweats wore off. Bugger did that hurt. Still no feelling in tip of the finger. Wife refused to take me to minor injuries until East Enders had finished. :001_rolleyes:

That's the sort of **** Mrs would of done lol. Thanks for the support mate, not everyone is like that! But what ever they'll have something to say when it happens to then I guess.

Good on you for having the balls to post about it mate, its too easy to get complacent in this job, on the plus side take it from me your nose heals quick, mine had a run in with a 9 inch grinder left me with 14 stitches, there will always be those who will preach that you should'nt have done it, but at the end of the day nobody's perfect you've learnt a lesson a hard way but in doing so you've given us all a wake up call, heal quick mate :thumbup1:

Hope that heals up quickly! Got to ask though, did u have ur thumb wrapped around the handle and a firm grip of the saw? I had many kick backs in my younger days and the saw never lifted that high so had to ask.... Any way, nice pics and heal well :D
