TP760 pto roller issues

Hi guys having a touble with the static/bottom roller. It will chip away great when cold then as it warms up the bottom roller with stop. If you push the bar to reverse the roller it will start again then start again, then stop etc eventually when you offer a piece upto the rollers they will stop like there is no hydraulic pressure. I've checked oil and it's clean and enoughof it. Belts are good and tight. Adjusting the relief valve speeds up and slows down the rollers. I'm thinking it's gonna either be spool valve adjustment or in need of cleaning. Have i missed anything that you guys can think of??

My tp200 is being fixed for what seems to be the same problem, I'm not entirely sure what the mechanics did to fix it other then the valve block was dirty/blocked up. But both motors seals needed replacing on mine. Do the motors turn at full speed if there is no brash going through?

sounds like the valve block is worn, put new filters and oil in then try it ,

To all TP owners, take the bottom plate off regularly and clean the crud out, it's sits full of wet crud and wrecks the seals on the bottom roller.

No leaks at all and the oil/filters havn't had chance to get dirty. It also spins at full chat when not under load. I think it's the valve block but like you Matt i think if i put it into my local hydraulic engineer he will do the same clean the valve block give me a bill and in a week will be back to square one. Another chap had similar experience with a jensen. Best get onto Vos and see how much more cash i need to give them

Yes, this would be worth a try before before looking into a new valve block, I'm fairly sure there is nothing overly complicated inside? The bill for the work on mine is:scared1: so far and they haven't got it chipping well either yet, I wish in hindsight I'd had a go at doing it myself but didn't want to disturb some internal component (in other words didn't know what I was doing).

I think you should get the hydraulic pressures/flow rates checked before you go on a changing spree. Ten minutes with the right kit will pinpoint the problem. If you haven`t got the gauges see if you can con a mobile hydraulic`s guy to take a squint. Cognitive dissonance is expensive

id agree with that facts and figures before throwing money away
