The other week i used a tracked timberwolf a 6" tracked jobbie and i was pleasantly surprised by how chompy it was, i was expecting it to be quite crap. i'm used to a 10" farmi and a 16" heizohack so something that 'small' was a bit of a shock. once i realised i couldn't jam big bits in i thought it was quite good.

i liked the control buttons

Yes, they are good machines. The tracked jensens are also good IMO

it always makes me laugh watching people trying to ram big branches with wide forks into a small chipper and getting fustrated. like you said jamie, treat it for what it is and dress out limbs accordingly and they are cracking chippers

Dosn't matter how big the chipper is....Someone will still jamb somthing into it that won't fit.

The time saved by being able to move the chipper to the brush with a tracked machine, out weighs the disadvantage of smaller diameter capacity.

They are nice machines but I got to disagree with the control buttons they are in a terrible (and dangerous) place imo, should be at the side as well.

:dito: it would be a hell of a lot easier and safer if they were to the side/

You know what the argument would be then ??

They are on the wrong side and you have to lean right over to get to them :001_smile:

Your better off just doing away with all the safety feature and if your groundy does get dragged in, just give him a final wave goodbye and advertise for another the following day

haha yeah, but what they could do is have the control bar rather than the buttons like a jensen, or have buttons easily moveable or on both sides:001_cool:
