I have Personal Accident cover in case I suffer injury doing my job.

Supposing I climb with a piece of PPE that has been subject to a safety recall and suffer injury through failure of that equipment, would the insurance company pay out?

If the answer is No, then would the insurance company have to prove that I had knowledge of the safety recall in order to refuse payment?

Not using recalled PPE myself. I reckon the answer is no on both counts too. But I was interested to see if one of the brokers on here would make a comment.

Let's be fair insurance firms will wriggle out of anything they can best not give them any excuses. A local firm that has its fingers in a lot of pies has changed the name of its insurance department as it was ruining there wholesome image need I say more.:001_smile:
