Card Payment. How do you take yours?

I did look into the izettle but various Internet reviews put me off as they have no contact phone number anywhere and all communication is by email which seems to be fine when signing up but very sporadic if you have a problem

Even though I don't like PayPal they do at least have a proper contact number for business customers and reasonable customer service most of the time so still use them as there is not much any better

You can buy one from screwfix.

Looks like it would be useful, but you would need to price in the 2.75%.

97.25% of the payment is better than none, and with the price of fuel, if it saves having to drive back to get paid, it could well be worth it.

How does this one work? Does it have its own app?

I have a mobile gprs unit that is with cardsave atm but will probably move over to paymentsense as they have offered a slightly better deal at 1.25% on all cards except debit cards which are set at 14p, I am currently at 1.4% and 15p.

I looked at the paypal thing and tbh I wouldn't switch to one as I think it looks a bit unprofessional, and for me as most of our trade is on cards it works out cheaper to stay with a proper terminal anyway.

What sort of monthly fee does that attract scraggs? Does your terminal also print a receipt?

Terminal rental is £24 + vat a month then there is £10 a month merchant fee but that is written off against card fees ie: if we had no transactions then its £10 but if our percentage fees were £30 for the month we pay £30 not £40

If that makes sense.

Again it pays to shop around, I found most terminal rentals were pretty much around the same from most places, but merchant monthly fees varied a lot, but are negotiable.

It prints a merchant and customer reciept, it's the same as the ones in shops but multi network mobile
