What are people's thoughts on the load handler?

A good piece of kit. Like someone else said, the plastic brackets are a bit weak. Would buy another, but a heavier duty one would be better. A bit too much plastic to break.

Would people advise going for the heavy duty model or is the standard one fine? I'm just thinking about build quality and life expectancy

Depends what your going to use it for, I use mine only for logs on a single cab hilux, just over a cubic metre Id guess under half a ton, ive had it for about 3 years and never broke anything.

Ours is the LH 3000 and seems very sturdy. I am sure I have loaded it beyond it's 1300kg capacity when moving soil with no problems other than me struggling to turn the handle

I would use it for all sorts but mainly chip and logs. Does the lh3000 fit standard pickups eg my isuzu rodeo?

Don't know if it would fit as it's quite wide. I can measure how wide the fixing brackets are apart for you if you want. It came with all the pads and clamps to be mounted on a tailgate but only ever used it on the trailer.

That would be good thank you, shall have a measure of the tailgate when I pick it up tomorrow :)

Just had a measure and you need about 150cm from outside of bracket to outside of bracket.

I've got an early version and find it's of limited use against a slope - the sheet slides under the load - but if you can get the pickup's front wheels slightly raised it's great.
