Hi there, I have some nice cherry and want to slice it into chopping boards. It is green now as I only cut it down last week. My question is what's the quickest way to dry it ready for sanding?

unless you can find someone with a kiln, slice it into the thickness boards you require and stack them in a pile with 3/4" stickers 18" apart, then seal all end grain with pva or paint, cover well and leave for two years.

Wow really. I was thinking about an inch thick and maybe putting them in the oven! Has anyone tried this and have advice on time and temperature?

That would be the best method of turning cherry into firewood.

agreed.

you could try an oven a few degrees warmer than the surrounding air with a little less humidity and leave it in there for about 3 months.
