Just catching up on this thread.

Having a bit of a clear out of the lockup and found this type that I used on zz1 anyone getting this with zz2?

That does look like some excessive wear!!

We, erm tested the ZZ1 quite extensively and didnt notice anywhere near that amount of wear, rope was a tachyon.

There was a very small amount to start with but that became nothing really, well nothing of concern and did not affect the running of the ZZ.

Although we dont have the same hours on the ZZ2 the friction part is exactly the same as the ZZ1 and we have noticed any more wear on the tachyon.

Any concerns please post a pic and the spec of the rope used.

Jeez! That's terrible mate, my kernmaster hasn't hardly any wear on it after nearly 2 years and that's using toothed ascenders day in day out!! Something's looks seriously wrong with that!

Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

I used it with a SJ for 7 months and apart from making it a bit oval it was like new. Within days of using the zz it had fluffed up. The more im using it the longer the fluff is getting. This is only after 10-12 medium climbs as I use the SJ with velocity for bigguns.
