Not sure what make of post driver you've got, but had the same problem with a kinghitter in the past. In the end we drilled a 10mm hole in the mast at about chest night and put a bolt through then sat the hammer on this when were on the road. This kept the hammer inside the width of the tractor with just the bottom of the mast sticking past the wheel by about 2 inches.

This is the problem spot on, I did think that if the weight was further was up the mast it wouldn't stick out. Something like you suggest might be the answer:thumbup1:

OK, got a post knocker on my tractor which has a tow hitch on it- trouble is in order to be able to hitch up a trailer the post knocker has to be swund round sideways and hence overhangs the rear tyre sideways by about 14 inches.

Fine in a field, but is this legal on a road? Anyone know...

Cheers,

HI MATTHEW just put the wheels out mate or put it on a wide trailer but farmers here with wider kit then a post knocker thanks jon
