Really?? Dont you get hacked off with it getting caught when you are climbing through loads of ivy or a tree like macrocarpa etc steve?

 

 

 

As this goes against point 15 in the PPE section of the revised AFAG 401 leaflet, where for climbing chainsaw users, HSE strongly advise the use of a Mountaineering type helmet conforming to BS EN 12492:2000, then Stevie is quite obviously pulling your leg :sneaky2:

I have to agree with Monkeyd not wearing simple ppe (suitable helmet with chin strap) is just mental, If i hadn;t worn such kit when i was training i prob wont be here today.

Must admit I hate chinstraps, but do use it when I deem it necessary.

 

Red Squirrel - that's a top effort with a Silky, mate. Hope you get it down for good price. Reckon one of the North West lads on here could help you out.

 

I've heard one of them has got a crane.....
