Without looking at the wife guide how do I remove it from my 560,😳

 

Undo the screw, then pull it out, husky designed it so you don't need to read the book

Thats about right Steve, but this country can get pretty dry too, especially on the moors, mountains and forests. So, in these area it might be best to leave them in.

 

It wasn't when I was last down there - bloody rained all week and had issues with my waterworks - hoping the next stay is better.

 

It is true what you say though, summer work in drought on some of the bracken moors may well be an issue!

remove it as i did on my 560 and 540 they will pick up ever so slightly better , not needed here

On top of the exhaust you'll see a gold looking plate held on with a cross head screw.. undo screw, slide screen out and return screw :thumbup:

I'll agree with all that has been said above

The mesh is for hot dry country's where a spark can cause fire... So i hear... taken mine off the 560xp as I hear it'll cause starting issues after a while.... mate of mine removed his from 550xp and has had warranty work done since with no issues from dealer about it.. can't say I know for sure about the t540xp but I'm getting mine soon and I'll be taking it off unless someone here gives Mr a good reason not to.. hope this helps:thumbup:

Over this side of the pond this time of year is fire season. That being said I am sure daily use saws have been altered so no screen is present. My screen are all present. I believe it also depends on weather non-ethnol fuel source is used since ethnol fuel use in all two and four cycle equipment is all bad and no Gooooooood!!!!!!!!!!
