I need to get myself a bigger saw than my 291, im looking at the 2 above, I will be mainly running whatever I get on a 20 inch bar, with a 25inch for when its needed. It will mainly be used for ringing up hardwood truncks for logs. Will the 441 be alright on the 25inch or will it be constantly bogging down? On paper there isnt much wheight difference, but is that true in reality? The difference in price is £130, so not that bigger deal if it lasts 12 or 14 years like our 044 did! Thanks, William.

i run a 460 on a 25" bar. Its literally all I use other than my topping saw. I do have a 341 with a 15" bar on, and an 880 with a 36" bar. They both sit in the workshop. Don't think I've used my 880 for over a year!

The 660 is a lush saw and not overly heavy, but I wouldn't want to use it for dressing out for more than a couple of hours, whereas the 460 is pretty comfortable for a whole days cutting.

Definitely meant 461.

Thanks for the opinions, thought that might be the answer. When I finally commit the cash I should have a good line up- a 170 for brash, 291 for smaller poles/in the logmaster, a 461 for the bigger stuff and a 390 with a moddified exhaust for making a noise with:thumbup:

Decision made! A 461with 25 and 18 inch bars, and a new combi can so all the petrol that goes through it is mixed by me!:thumbup1:

Good choice!

I've just bout a 661 as my larger saw, decision was mainly made in the £130 price difference.

It is heavy with 25" bar, so think ill get a 20" for every day stuff. Monster saw though, love it.
