Needless to say I will buy a copy. Thanks fellas. (I'm not sexist. Linda, is fella offensive to lasses and that? I am quite old fashioned and from Northumberland.) PM me if I am being thick.:001_cool:

there is a lot to be said for modern rigging techniques but equally a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and rigging is only as good as the grounds man the climber may be good but the system fails because of the lack of knowledge of the groundie all staff must be trained equally to make good safe use of all the different rigging and speedlining techniques

I bought the book and it's top notch.

 

Totally agree about groundies - I rely on mine massively and don't agree with employing job seeker types just 'cos they are cheap. Could be the last mistake you make.

 

It is a bit worrying that one of the co-authors was killed when a takedown went wrong!

I gave my dvds to my offsider and groundies to take home and study. I told them to watch them at least 3 times each until they are familiar with the content and I also take the book to work for reference, so yeah its been good value.
