i agree it does look heavy but its not had one on trial for 6 weeks now its only marginaly heavier than the vertex but sits better on the head comes with extra ear muffs for chipping.only thing i can fault was the pull down eye protection they got scratched really quick and i have not found out if i can change them yet.on hte whole its pretty good the gap at the ear muffs bothered me to but it seems to be fine nothing penetrated as yet.

thanks for the info but have been tasked with the job and no matter what it has to be an internal course .i did suggest abc but no go we employ around 200 so cost is huge any way doing my faw up date soon so may get more from that .thaks for your in put

roblon is ok nice and soft but wears really quick try wasp its equally as soft really plyable and good grip when used as a vt stays and dresses good and as well fujicura supply it:001_smile:

8mm ocean is better try some wasp from fujicura its 10mm and grips every time comes in 200m reels and quite cheap so you dont mind replacing hitches more often

as above with 1 extra make sure you know the three knott system ie bowline pruussick fig 8 you will be fine

:thumbup:thats the only time i dont use it as well 243 employees all on it as well you may well have a point about the rads gear will get my hands on some and give it a try. its taken a long fight with some of the lads to get the drt message over at least 99% now are totally converted and feel a bit wierd when doing there homers on srt

try a morphy the bridge is better protected .you can replace any bridge with prussick cord or even a piece of clinbing rope . hope that helps

try a morphy there great after you get the adjustment right

it can be used for ariel rescue to if the casualty is in a bad position go down and just like the saw connect to him then assend to a good spot and apply a seond anchor or stropp the groundies will raise the casualty to you

you can use a 5-1 pulley system to tension the line and if the trailing end of your tensioning rope is put through a fig 8 then you can lower the system as required use po65 pulleys and if you want to keep the lne at a constant tension pop in a protraxion pulley to lock it off but keep a small amount of slack or you wont be able to release the lock. happy times ahead

i agree but the hse dept take alot of convincing

if you want to stop the load hitting use a porta wrap on the return line to controll the speed of the falling timber this will also allow you to stop the load when ever you want to equally if its light then a fig 8 will do the trick nicely or a munter hitch

your right of course what i ment was that the new h bandage is just as good and wiil stop the bleed as effective as celox so to avoid any possible deprimentle issues ie law suits this may be a better choice that was a choice the company i work for made
