  1. there is another option to celox it is just as good and was developed at the same time celox was primarily used for bullet wounds by the millitary and yes it is good the other option is a blood stopper called the h bandage with out a word of lie this wiil do the same job and unlike other blood stoppers you dont have to put bandage on bandage on bandage for a major bleed the h bandage is the only thing you will need and again its millitary the only problem with celox may be what if you think your doing the right thing and apply it to an unconcious casualty's wound and for some reason it proves to be depremental you can be sued so the h bandage is just as good and includes no law suit.
  2. aus make a rescue kit for mewps and poles it costs around 100 and consists of a 30m rope a decender that can be turned to accomidate 2 persons we have used it for self rescue and tree rescue it does work quite well it was originaly desingned for rescue from towers and is identical to the petzell one you are displaying oh and the decender is petzell hope that helps (rope can be any lenth you want)
  3. i agree with matty f reduce the wieght and blot back togther but do it fairly soon you can prop to as an extra keep cambium damage to a min though
  4. hi chris still have not met up yet but we will soon i know your busy at the mo hope the writing is going well i have wriiten a few new courses and there are going to lantra will have to let you see them and get your opinion by the way the hitch climbers are really taking off it seems they are common practise now good news eh

  5. robbie coltrain ,rab c cant remember his proper name, andy ker, hollyrood palace and piesta resistance buckingham palace loads of job for lords and dames all good no bad pionts one job was reducing mature trees so that a lord could get a good view of the river tay from his study he told me what to cut by walkie talkie from the studie v happy he was and gave us a crate of t lager down to earth chap
  6. go for the husky 576 there a great all rounder have used 15" to 28" on it and also on the 372 which is defo not as good as its bigger bro
  7. there is a lot to be said for modern rigging techniques but equally a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and rigging is only as good as the grounds man the climber may be good but the system fails because of the lack of knowledge of the groundie all staff must be trained equally to make good safe use of all the different rigging and speedlining techniques
  8. hi i climb using drt and have 2 swivels in my systems i find them to be a really good piece of kit i also use some in speedlining i give them a big thumbs up
