Thanks for the positive comments on our cutandclimb jacket guys :-)

Regarding the breathability...

If you aren't wearing breathable garments under the jacket, then you will definitely get hot and sweaty because perspiration is getting trapped between your skin and base layer and moisture cannot therefore escape out through your clothing. Non-breathable tshirts and jumpers just act as a barrier - like a layer of polythene between you and the breathable fabrics of the cutandclimb jacket. We recommended wearing a breathable base layer, like the long sleeved Pfanner zip neck shirts, with our jacket. That way both garments are working together wicking moisture away from your body and out through the fabrics, keeping you cooler and more comfortable.

I think the Proclimber smocks have a small motif of a unicorn on them....

Nope the Proclimber have the Proclimber emblem, the decorative knot that's still on their new site.

Oh dear Paul. You really don't know Mr Bolam too well do you

another vote for the cut and climb, i combine mine with lightweight berghuaus waterproof trousers over saw gear if needed. dry days for me. trousers only 40 quid online so a pair a year is fine.

Same here, Berghaus deluge I think the are, zip up leg for easy access.

I've got the cut and climb, and the new Stein jackets. The best? All round of the two? Clark's. But the Stein is a good budget jacket that will keep you dry. I was hedge trimming in a deluge the other day, pants soaked top dry  actually this thread reminds me I must check I haven't grown out of the

Cut and climb, don't want to have to buy another yet!! :001_rolleyes:

Update: hmmm a little snug, but it'll keep...for now:)
