Also, would be interested in one of those lighter sugi bars (with resin bits?) to fit as I want to go 3/8 on the 5105 from .325...

:thumbup:

parts: http://download.dolmar.com/manuals/23803.pdf

Not got those in K095 but in D009 I have 20",24",28",36"...

But if K095 then only have the 3/8 nose in 15" and 18" in solid pro version (none resiny!)

Local safety shop has started stocking Shindaiwa and Echo. The Echo gear is almost half the price of the Stihl equivalents and we are seriously looking at giving one a trial. Are the chainsaws really that good? They come with a two year commercial warranty so it's very tempting.

The echo top handled saws are beyond awful.

However, I have a topper and a long hedge cutter and the 2yr unconditional professional user warranty is a game changer IMO.

Forgot to add, I thought all the new dollies were basically d009 and k095 mounts.

Does anyone know a look up to double check?

Makitas seem to have some mounts outside of the K095 and D009 for some of their newer saws...

  • 4 weeks later...
will get back to ya :thumbup:

thanks :001_smile:

Also, trying to work out what the similar husky model would be? eg;

Husky 550xpg = Dolmar 5105

Husky 560xpg = Dolmar 6100

??.

and having trouble finding info to compare the specifications/ fuel use, chain speed, etc

....but definitely interested, especially if dolmars are more reliable. Don't care if they weigh a little more!
