How about this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Logster-ATV-Timber-Trailer-All-new-Design-New-features-/221298539788?pt=UK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item33866bbd0c

Looks just the job for the money. If you intend to build one, personally I would use rocker axles like on this one

Buy a 4x4 1ton dumper and fire some landy tyres or similar on it!! Do away with the skip and weld up a frame with bolster. It will be the best low budget low impact small scale eco friendly forwarder you could ever wish for! It will pull any quad trailer uphill down dale too. Far vetter than a quad.

Any chance of felling all or a large portion and accumulating in the woods. Then in summer when its dry underfoot take processor in to the woods. The advantage being you make the mess and spread it to rot there. Then bring out the finished product on the trailer you have or in dumpy bags. A lot less rehandling. You could hide a mobile phone on the processor if you have to leave it in the woods. Then track it if it moves.

Maybe not a good idea in this case, but there are alternative ways to skin a rabbit as it were. I think you ask about this in another thread a while back, if memory serves access is narrow.
