new haix protector pros..

I find that spikes slip around the sole as the heel isn't very pronounced.

 

Anybody know how long the warranty is on them? website says a 2 years various suppliers say 1,

 

I had the sole split on mine after 18 months and Haix sorted me out a new pair with no arguments.

I've had a pair for about 6 months now.

 

Not overly impressed.

 

Spikes slip from around the sole, I've metal clasps snap and finally the first proper heavy prolonged spell of rain we've had since owning and my feet were soaked.

 

I've rather anally cleaned and treated them every two weeks too!

Had mine 14 months and within the last month they've fallen apart. Both soles split away and the edges tearing away. Not happy as all they've really done is forwarding and milling in them really.

I've gone off hiax as my golds and protector pro both lasted a year, all the material bunched up in the toe caps making them unwearable, Don't no if anyone else had had this problem

I initially got in touch with a company online called Brixworkwear and they then put me in tough with a lady called Cordelia Wagner at Haix in Germany. I sent them a few photos of the problem and they asked me for the serial number which is on the label inside the boot under the size. She then arranged a new pair for me.

Mine did this too, it's sawdust/dirt getting in at the bottom of the laces and getting trapped between the leather and the lining!

i find them great, first pair lasted about 2 years and never let a drip of water in, second pair now just bedded in and comfortable. never much bothered waxing or anything and never had a wet foot. i climb in them all the time.

Ivi had this problem and so have the lads several times. you're right about the saw dust and dirt getting in. If you cut a hole near the bottom of the tongue you can get you' finger or screwdriver in there to hoik it out and make them wearable again. A job you should not have to do mind!!

Ok, so i bought a pair,

 

First impressions were they are huge and alot heavier than my golds,

 

I find i cant walk properly in them and cannot bend, even after wearing them in a bit, i think they would suit a person with wider feet rather than my skinny ones, climbing was a joke. I do admit they felt solid, and well made tho

 

I may put them on ebay i think, and buy something else

I thought that when got mine, found they made me feel like I was bouncing as I walked and a foot taller but once they wore in are comfy, almost 2 years old and almost zero wear on them yet
