Home made 4ft /5ft Diameter Tree trunk splitter ?

I would like to know, if any forum members, have built a tree trunk splitter for splitting 4/5ft diameter by 3ft long lengths of knotty beech,oak,chestnut, elm,etc . Obviously a serious piece of kit and not cheap to build,as some very high pressures ,forces needed from hydraulic ram ,and the splitting blade ideally a 4 WAY blade to split the trunk in to 4 pieces.

Can I point you to the Binderberger 40 tonne splitter in the classified section, might not be what you are looking for but you never know:thumbup1:
