Thanks for the info nifty. I had a RW but prefer the HH. Just a personal thing of course.

I'm using the recommended knot as it feels best for me.

I've been very happy using 8mm Armor Pruss but actually the best yet for feel and durability is 6mm Liros.

I climb on Poison HiVee.

Where do you get the 6mm Liros from Al?

Just been looking on the retailers websites and find that there is 1mm, 11.7mm & 13mm.

 

I realise that the thread is about the 11mm but I wondered if anyone is using the 11.7mm because that would be more appealing to me.

I looked into this a couple of weeks ago.

 

The 11mm is access line and the 11.7 is climbing line. However the 11.7 had significantly less elongation making it more static.

 

Surely it would be better for work positioning whatever your flavour of SRT?

 

Also, the 11.7 can be spliced (I think)

Yes I've just had a read and it says it's a perfect rope for splicing. Sounds about ideal for the HH, have a splice in the end for drt and it being slightly thicker, and quite static for srt!
